śrī-bhagavān uvāca
hanta te kathayiṣyāmi divyā hy ātma-vibhūtayaḥ
prādhānyataḥ kuru-śreṣṭha nāsty anto vistarasya me

syntax


śrī-bhagavān (the glorious Lord) uvāca (he spoke):
hanta (oh!) he kuru-śreṣṭha (O the best among the Kurus!),
[mama yāḥ] (those my which) divyāḥ (divine) ātma-vibhūtayaḥ (my own powers),
[aham] (I) [tāḥ] te (these to you) prādhānyataḥ (the most porminent) kathayiṣyāmi (I will tell),
me hi vistarasya (indeed of my extensiveness) antaḥ (the end) na asti (there is not).

he kuruśreṣṭha! madīyāḥ kalyāṇīr vibhūtīḥ prādhānyatas te kathayiṣyāmi / prādhanyaśabdena utkarṣo vivakṣitaḥ; „purodhasāṃ ca mukhyaṃ mām” iti hi vakṣyate / jagaty utkṛṣṭāḥ kāścana vibhūtīr vakṣyāmi, vistareṇa vaktuṃ śrotuṃ ca na śakyate, tāsām ānantyāt / vibhūtitvaṃ nāma niyāmyatvam; sarveṣāṃ bhūtānāṃ buddhyādayaḥ pṛthagvidhā bhāvā matta eva bhavantīty uktvā, „etāṃ vibhūtiṃ yogaṃ ca mama yo vetti tattvataḥ” iti pratipādanāt / tathā tatra yogaśabdanirdiṣṭaṃ sraṣṭṛtvādikaṃ vibhutiśabdanirdiṣṭaṃ tatpravartyatvam iti hy uktaṃ punaś ca, „ahaṃ sarvasya prabhavo mattas sarvaṃ pravartate / iti matvā bhajante māṃ budhā bhāvasamanvitāḥ” iti

evaṃ pṛṣṭaḥ śrī-bhagavān uvāca hanteti | hantety anukampārthakam | divyā utkṛṣṭāḥ, na tu tṛṇeṣṭakādyāḥ | vibhūtaya iti prāgvat | prādhānyataḥ prādhānyena yatas tāsāṃ vistarasyānto nāsti | iha vibhūti-śabdena niyāmakatva-rūpāṇy aiśvaryāṇi bodhyāni vibhūtir bhūtir aiśvaryam ity amara-koṣāt | prākṛtāprākṛtāni ca vastūni bhūtitvena varṇyāni | tāni sarvāṇi sarveśa-śakti-vyaṅgatvāt sarveśātmnaā tāratamyena bhāvyāni | matāni yāni sākṣād īśvara-rūpāṇi tattvenoktāni | tāni tu tena rūpeṇa bhāvanārthāny eva, na tv anyavat tac-chakty-ekadeśa-rūpāṇīti bodhyaṃ saṅgater iti
