tad ity anabhisaṃdhāya phalaṃ yajña-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ
dāna-kriyāś ca vividhāḥ kriyante mokṣa-kāṅkṣibhiḥ

tat iti [udāhṛtya] (TAT after declaring)
phalam (fruit) anabhisandhāya (not aiming at),
mokṣa-kāṅkṣibhiḥ (by those desiring liberation) vividhāḥ (different) yajña-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ (acts of sacrifice and austerity) dāna-kriyāḥ ca (and acts of charity) kriyante (they are done).

athaiteṣāṃ tad iti śabdānvayaprakāram āha
phalam anabhisandhāya vedādhyayanayajñatapodānakriyāḥ mokṣakāṅkṣibhis traivarṇikair yāḥ kriyante, tāḥ brahmaprāptisādhanatayā brahmavācinā tad iti śabdena nirdeśyāḥ; „sa vaḥ kaḥ kiṃ yat tat padam anuttamam” iti tacchabdo hi brahmavācī prasiddhaḥ / evaṃ vedādhyayanayajñādīnāṃ mokṣasādhanabhūtānāṃ tacchabdanirdeśyatayā tad iti śabdānvaya uktaḥ / traivarṇikānām api tathāvidhavedādhyayanādyanuṣṭhānād eva tacchabdānvaya upapannaḥ
