evam uktvā hṛṣīkeśaṃ guḍākeśaḥ paraṃtapa
na yotsya iti govindam uktvā tūṣṇīṃ babhūva ha

syntax


saṁjaya (Saṁjaya) uvāca (he spoke):
he paraṁtapaḥ (O scorcher of enemies!),
guḍākeśaḥ (Guḍākeśa) hṛṣīkeśam (to Hṛṣīkeśa) evam (thus) uktvā (after speaking),
[aham] (I) na yotsye iti (I will not fight) govindam (to Govinda) uktvā (after speaking),
tūṣṇīm babhūva ha (indeed he became silent).
